Enjoy an afternoon of golf at the Resort at Squaw Valley--featuring emcee Uncle E-- while helping support the Squaw Valley Institute.  The first annual SVI Local Celebrity Golf Tournament will be held at the Resort at Squaw Creek on Monday September 17^th.  Included in your entry will be golf, a golf cart, practice facilities, a tee prize, prizes for the top 3 teams, a drink, a BBQ dinner and a hole-in-one contest for a 5-day  golf trip to St Andrews and Scotland including airfare for two.

Our local celebrities including Squaw local’s Andy Wirth, Tamara McKinney and Jonny Moseley (see complete list below) have volunteered their time to come out and show their support for the Institute.  Each foursome will be paired with a celebrity – we can’t vouch for their golfing ability but we can vouch for their accomplishments in their chosen field and contributions to the greater Tahoe area. 

We will have a shotgun start at 12:30 so get there early to get some practice in and sign up for some of the contests and especially to buy some raffle tickets.  Each celebrity will be providing a prize that will be raffled off during the BBQ dinner.  You can optionally purchase mulligans, entry into the longest drive and closest to pin contests and of course raffle tickets.

The format will be a scramble which means you don’t have to be a great golfer (or even an average golfer) to participate.  The scramble format means that your foursome (or fivesome) will each tee off and then select the best drive.  Then everyone gets to hit their next shot from that spot and again you get to pick the best shot until you put the ball in the hole.
